উত্তরঃ- ফরয নামায দাঁড়িয়ে পড়া ফরয। আল্লাহ তায়ালা বলেন, وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ -‘তোমরা আল্লাহর উদ্দেশ্যে (নামাযে ) বিনীতভাবে দণ্ডায়মান হও।’ (সূরা বাক্বারাহ ২৩৮) | Answer:- It is obligatory to pray standing for faraz salat (prayer). Allah tayala said, وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ – “and stand (in prayer) before Allah in devotion”.
যে ব্যক্তি দাঁড়িয়ে পড়তে অক্ষম, সে বসে নামায পড়বে। তার জন্য নামায দাঁড়িয়ে পড়া ফরজ নয়। এক্ষেত্রে দলীল হল হযরত ইমরান বিন হুসাইন রা. এর একটি হাদীস. | The person who can’t able to pray standing, he will pray sitting. It’s dalil is a hadith of Hazrat Imran bin husain (ra).
عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَتْ بِي بَوَاسِيرُ فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ صَلِّ قَائِمًا فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَقَاعِدًا فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَى جَنْبٍ
‘হযরত ইমরান বিন হুসাইন রা. থেকে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন আমার অর্শ্বরোগ ছিল। তাই নবী কারীম সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লামকে নামায (এর পদ্ধতি) সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম। তিনি বললেন,দাঁড়িয়ে নামাজ আদায় করবে,তাতে সামর্থ্য না হলে বসে। যদি তাতেও সক্ষম না হও তাহলে কাত হয়ে শুয়ে। (সহিহ বুখারী: ১১১৭) |
Narrated Imran bin Husain. He had piles, so I asked the Prophet about the prayer. He said that Pray standing and if you can’t able to do even that, then you pray lying on your side. (Sahih Bukhari: 1117).
ইবনে কুদামাহ র) বলেন, | Ibne Kudamah says,
أجمع أهل العلم على أن من لا يطيق القيام له أن يصلي جالسا
আহলে ইলম এ ব্যপারে একমত যে, যে ব্যক্তি দাড়িয়ে নামায পড়তে অক্ষম সে বসে নামায পড়বে। (আল-মুগনী ১/৪৪৩) | Ahle ‘Ilm agrees in this matter that the person who can’t able to pray standing, he will pray sitting. (Al-mugni: 1/443)
উপরোক্ত আলোচনা দ্বারা স্পষ্ট বুঝে আসে দাঁড়াতে অক্ষম ব্যক্তির জন্য ফরজ নামায বসে পড়া জায়েয। দাঁড়ানোর সক্ষমতা থাকার পরেও যদি কেউ ফরজ নামায বসে পড়ে, তবে তার নামায বাতিল হয়ে যাবে | By the above discussion, it is clear to understand that to pray faraz sitting is jayez (legal), who can’t able to stand. But After the ability of standing, if someone prays sitting, then his prayer is canceled.
প্রশ্ন হলো, কতটুকু অসুস্থতা হলে,ফরজ নামায বসে পড়া জায়েয হবে। অর্থাৎ একেবারে সামান্য দুর্বলতা বা অসুস্থতার কারণেই কি ফরজ নামায বসে পড়া জায়েয হবে নাকি যখন কোনোভাবেই দাঁড়াতে সক্ষম হবে না, কেবল সেক্ষেত্রেই বসে নামায পড়া জায়েয হবে? The question is that How much sicking, will be jayez to pray sitting? namely when will be jayez to pray sitting?
এর জবাব হল, (ক) যদি দাঁড়িয়ে নামায পড়ার কারণে রোগীর খুব বেশি কষ্ট হয় অথবা (খ) রোগ বেড়ে যাওয়ার আশঙ্কা থাকে অথবা (গ) রোগ মুক্তি বিলম্বিত হওয়ার আশঙ্কা হয় তবে তার জন্য বসে নামায পড়া জায়েয। (আল মাজমূ ৪/৩১০; তানবীরুল আবসার ২/৫৬৫) | Answer is that (a) If patient’s pain becomes more to pray standing. (b) or disease can be more than before. (c) or it is believed that relief from disease will be lated. Then for those reason, to pray sitting is jayez. (Al majmu: 4/310, Tanvirul absar: 2/565)
এ ব্যপারে মুসান্নাফে আব্দুর রাজ্জাকে একটি রেওয়ায়েত রয়েছে | There is a rewayet about this matter in the Musannafe Abdur Rajjak. that is,
عن عمر بن ميمون بن مهران عن أبيه قال: قيل له ما علامة ما يصلي المريض قاعداً؟ قال: إذا كان لا يستطيع أن يقوم لدنياه فليصل قاعداً
‘উমর বিন মায়মূন রহ.তার পিতা থেকে বর্ণনা করেন,তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হয়েছিল, রোগীর জন্য বসে নামায জায়েয হওয়ার আলামত কি? তিনি বললেন, যখন সে তার দুনিয়াবী কাজের জন্য দাঁড়াতে পারেনা তখন বসে নামায পড়বে | Narrated umar bin maymun, he narrated from his father. He was asked, what is the alamat of being jayez to pray sitting for patient?
মোটকথা, রোগীই নিজের অবস্থা নির্ধারণ করবে যে, কখন তার জন্য বসে নামায পড়া জায়েয হবে। যদি দাঁড়ানোর কারণে অতিরিক্ত কষ্ট হয় বা কোনো ক্ষতির আশঙ্কা থাকে তবে সে বসে সামায পড়তে পারবে | In short, The patient will destine own condition, when will be jayez to pray sitting for him?. If becomes more pain or any problem for standing, then he can pray sitting.
এখন প্রশ্ন হলো, কোনো ব্যক্তি যদি দাঁড়াতে সক্ষম হয় কিন্তু রুকু-সিজদা করতে সক্ষম না হয় তাহলে সে কিভাবে নামায আদায় করবে? | Now the question is that If any persion becomes able to stand but don’t able to do Ruku-Sijda, how will he pray?
এক্ষেত্রে ফিকহে হানাফীর প্রসিদ্ধ মত হল, এমন ব্যক্তি বসে ইশারায় রুকু সিজদা করবে। তার জন্য দাঁড়িয়ে নামায পড়া আর ফরজ থাকবে না। (বাদায়েউস সানায়ে ১/১০৭; ফাতাওয়া হিন্দীয়া ৪/২০৪) | For this reason Fikhe hanafi’s celebrated opinion is that such person will pray sitting and do ruku-sijda through allusion. for him Is not obliged to pray standing. (Badayeus sanaye: 1/107; fatwaye hindiya; 4/204).
যেমন, আদ্দুররুল মুখতার- এ এসেছে | For example, there is a rewayet in the addurrul mukhtar.
ﻭﺇﻥ ﺗﻌﺬﺭا ( ﻟﻴﺲ ﺗﻌﺬﺭﻫﻤﺎ ﺷﺮﻃﺎ ﺑﻞ ﺗﻌﺬﺭ ﺍﻟﺴﺠﻮد ﻛﺎﻑ) ﻻ ﺍﻟﻘﻴﺎﻡ ﺃﻭﻣﺄ ﻗﺎﻋﺪﺍ ﻭﻫﻮ ﺃﻓﻀﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻻﻳﻤﺎﺀ ﻗﺎﺋﻤﺎ ﻟﻘﺮﺑﻪ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻻﺭﺽ
‘অসুস্থ ব্যক্তি যদি রুকু-সিজদা করতে অপারগ হয় (রুকু,সিজদাহ উভয়টিতে অপারগ হওয়া শর্ত নয় বরং সিজদা করতে অপারগ হওয়াই যথেষ্ট ) এবং দাঁড়াতে অপারগ না হয়, তবে বসে ইশারা করবে। দাঁড়িয়ে ইশারা করা থেকে এটা (বসে ইশারায় নামায পড়া) উত্তম জমিনের নিকটবর্তি হওয়ার কারণে।’ (আদ্দুররুল মুখতার ২/১০২) | ‘If the patient person becomes unable to do ruku-sijda in the prayer ( to become unable in both ruku and sijda is not obliged rather to become unable to do sijda is enough) and doesn’t become unable to stand, then he will allusion sitting. Because, motioning sitting is better than motioning standing in the prayer because of becoming near to ground/soil.
কিন্তু আবার প্রশ্ন হলো, যে ব্যক্তি দাঁড়িয়ে নামায পড়তে পারে না সে তো বসেই নামায পড়বে। বসার নির্দিষ্ট কোনো ধরণ আছে নাকি সে যেকোনো ভাবেই বসতে পারবে? | But the again question is that, the person who can’t pray standi, he will pray sitting but is there any specific type of sitting or he can sit in anyway?
এর জবাব হল, উল্লেখিত ব্যক্তি তার সুবিধামত যে কোনো সূরতে বসতে পারবে। তার জন্য কোনো বিশেষ সূরতে বসা জরুরী নয়। যেমন, | it’s answer is that, this person can sit in anyway as he wants. For him to sit in specific type is not obliged. such as:
ﺇﺫَﺍ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺮِﻳﺾُ ﻗَﺎﻋِﺪًﺍ ﻛَﻴْﻒَ ﻳَﻘْﻌُﺪُ ﺍﻟْﺄَﺻَﺢُّ ﺃَﻥْ ﻳَﻘْﻌُﺪَ ﻛَﻴْﻒَ ﻳَﺘَﻴَﺴَّﺮُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ
‘যখন অসুস্থ ব্যক্তি বসে নামায পড়বে,কিভাবে বসবে? বিশুদ্ধমত হল তার যেভাবে (বসলে) সহজ হয় সেভাবে বসবে।’ (ফাতাওয়া হিন্দিয়া ৪/২০২) | ‘When the patient person pray sitting, how will he sit? the best opinion is that he will sit as he wants.’ (Fatwaye hindiya: 4/202)
এবার আসা যাক, মূল প্রশ্নের উত্তরে। অর্থাৎ, চেয়ারে বসে নামায পড়া জায়েয আছে কিনা? | Now we come back to main question’s answer that means, Is legal or jayez to pray sitting on the chair???
এর জবাব হল, আশা করি উল্লেখিত আলোচনা থেকে আমরা নিন্মলিখিত বিষয়গুলো বুঝেছি- | The answer is that Hope, by the above discussion we have understood the following matters-
(১) যে ব্যক্তি দাঁড়াতে ও রুকু সিজদা করতে সক্ষম সে চেয়ারে বসে নামায আদায় করলে তা সহীহ হবে না। The person who is able to stand and to do ruku-sijda, if he prays sitting on the chair, then his prayer will not be Sahih.
(২) যে ব্যক্তি আরামের জন্য বা সাধারণ কষ্টের বাহানায় চেয়ারে বসে নামায পড়ে তার নামায সহীহ হবে না। The person who will pray sitting on the chair for easement or general pain, will not be Sahih of his prayer.
(৩) যে দাঁড়াতে ও জমিনে বসতে সক্ষম কিন্তু রুকু-সিজদা করতে অক্ষম, সে দাঁড়িয়ে নামায আদায় করবে। শুধু রুকু-সিজদা বসে ইশারায় করবে। এমন ব্যক্তি যদি চেয়ারে বসে ইশারায় রুকু-সিজদা আদায় করে, তবে তা আদায় হয়ে যাবে | The person who is able to stand and sit in the ground but unable to do ruku-sijda, he will perform prayer standing and only will perform ruku-sijda through allusion/motion sitting. If such person performs ruku-sijda sitting on the chair through allusion, will be jayez/legal.
(৪) আর যে বক্তি দাঁড়াতে সক্ষম কিন্তু নিচে বসতে সক্ষম নয় সে দাঁড়িয়ে নামায পড়বে তবে রুকু,সিজদা ও বৈঠকের সময় চেয়ারে বসে আদায় করতে পরবে এবং ইশারায় রুকু ও সিজদা করবে | And The person who is able to stand but unable to sit in the ground, he will pray standing and can to do ruku, sijda and, meeting sitting on the chair.
(৫) যে ব্যক্তি দাঁড়াতে অক্ষম কিন্তু নিচে বসতে ও সিজদা করতে সক্ষম এমন ব্যক্তি চেয়ারে বসে ইশারায় সিজদা করলে তার নামায বাতিল গণ্য হবে। তার জন্য নিচে বসে জমিনের উপর সিজদাহ করা জরুরী | And the man who is unable to stand but is able to sit and to do sijda, if such man did sijda through allusion sitting on the chair, then his prayer is canceled. in the circumstance, he will do sijda on the soil/ground.
(৬) যে ব্যক্তি দাঁড়াতে ও বসতে কোনোটাতেই সক্ষম নয় সে পূরো নামায চেয়ারে বসে ইশারায় আদায় করতে পারবে | The man who is unable to stand and sit, he will perform full prayer through allusion/gesture (ishara).
মোদ্দাকথা হল, ★যে ব্যক্তি দাঁড়িয়ে নামায আদায় করতে অক্ষম তার জন্য বিকল্প পদ্ধতি হল, জমিনে বসে তা আদায় করা | In short, ★The man who is unable to pray standing, for him the alternative mathod is that to perform that’s sitting in the soil.
★আর যে রুকু সিজদা করতে অক্ষম তার জন্য বিকল্প পন্থা হল, ইশারায় তা আদায় করা | And who is unable to do ruku and sijda, for him the alternative way is that to perform that’s through the gesture (ishara).
★আর যে ব্যক্তি যমিনে বসে নামায আদায় করতে অক্ষম তার জন্য বিকল্প হল, চেয়ারে বসে নামায আদায় করা | And who is unable to pray sitting, for his the alternative method is that to pray sitting on the chair.
তাই, কেবলমাত্র প্রথম ও দ্বিতীয় ওযরের কারণে চেয়ারে বসে নামায আদায় করা ঠিক নয় | Therefore, it is not proper to perform the Prayer only sitting on the chair due to the first and second excuses.
★আর যে ব্যক্তি জমিনের উপর বসে নামায আদায় করতে সক্ষম তার জন্য শুধু এই বাহানায় চেয়ারে বসে নামায আদায় করা ঠিক নয় যে, সে দাঁড়িয়ে নামায আদায় করতে বা রুকু সিজদা করতে অক্ষম। বরং এ ধরণের লোকেরা জমিনে বসে নামায আদায় করবে।
তাই, চেয়ারে বসে নামায আদায় করবেন শুধু ঐ লোকেরা, যারা জমিনে বসে নামায আদায় করতে অক্ষম | And the man who is able to pray sitting in the soil, it is not proper for him to pray sitting on the chair in this cause that he is unable to pray standing or to do ruku-sijda. Rather this kind of man will pray sitting in the soil. Therefore, Those who are unable to pray sitting in the soil, they will pray sitting on the chair.
সুতরাং যে ব্যক্তি শুধু আরামের জন্য অথবা মামুলি কষ্টের বাহানায় চেয়ারে নামায আদায় করছেন, তিনি মস্ত বড় ভুল কাজ করছেন। এভাবে নামায আদায় করার দ্বারা তার নামাযই হবে না। তার উপর ফরয যে, দাঁড়িয়ে নামায আদায় করা এবং যথা নিয়মে রুকু সিজদা আদায় করা | So, who is praying in the chair olny for comfort or for some difficulty, he is doing a great wrong thing. In this way, his prayer will not be done by performing the prayer. It is obligatory on him to pray standing and to perform ruku and sajdah in the rules.
